How it works
One form, one email back, and an introduction only if you ask for it.
Four steps, all by email
Send your request
It takes about a minute. The more you tell us, the better the match.
We do the homework
We compare vendors against your size, service style, budget and the systems you already run, and we read the contract terms.
Get a shortlist by email
One to three options, each with plain reasons and the watch-outs you should know before a demo.
Decide on your own time
Want an introduction? Reply yes. Not interested? Do nothing. We won't chase you.
From Stack.Restaurant
Subject Your POS shortlist for Luna's Taqueria
Hi Maria, you told us: counter service, one location, about 40 seats, and you want out of a long contract. These three fit.
Vendor A Best overall fit
Built for counter service. Month-to-month. Keeps taking orders offline.
Watch out: you must use their card processing.
Vendor B Lowest monthly cost
Runs on tablets you already own. Connects to your payroll.
Watch out: phone support ends at 8pm.
Vendor C Best if you plan to expand
Strong multi-location reporting and menu control.
Watch out: two-year term with auto-renewal.
Reply with a number and we'll introduce you by email. If none fit, no reply needed.

What we weigh when we match you
How you serve
Counter, full service, bar, food truck, ghost kitchen. The right system for one is wrong for another.
What you already run
New tools should connect to your current ones. We check before we suggest.
The contract, not only the demo
Term length, auto-renewal, exit fees, hardware leases and required card processing.
How we get paid
You should know who pays the person giving you advice.
Stack.Restaurant is free for restaurants. Some vendors pay us a referral fee when a restaurant we introduced becomes their customer.
That fee comes out of the vendor's marketing budget. It does not raise your price, and you are free to buy from anyone, including vendors who pay us nothing.
Questions
Will I get sales calls?
Not from us. We work by email only. A vendor contacts you only after you ask us for an introduction, and you can tell them you prefer email too.
Do I have to buy anything?
No. Our suggestions are free and there is no obligation to take any of them.
What kinds of restaurants do you help?
Independent restaurants, bars, cafes, food trucks and small groups anywhere in the United States.
How fast will I hear back?
Within one business day. Weekends and holidays wait until the next working day.
What happens to my information?
We use it to answer your request. We share it with a vendor only after you say yes to that introduction. We never sell it. See the privacy notice.
